68 & 70 and Still Running 26.2!

Congrats to my parents Ron and Joyce who finished their last training run today before the Portland Marathon next month. Mom walks (she's only 68) and Dad runs- both are amazing! They started running and walking when they turned 50, so no knee or hip issues that plague runners who ran in their early years. Did I also mention that he runs an 8 minute mile? Rock star!!! I've completed 3 half marathons at a turtle's pace when I was 40, 41, and 42. I fell off the wagon last year and don't think I'll be half marathon ready this year either, but as John "the Penguin" Bingham says, "If you run, you're a runner." So I guess I'm still a runner and aways will be... at least until I'm 70. Thanks for the inspiration Mom and Dad :)
