Thanks for your note! I'm glad the piece was useful for you. There's no
right and wrong here--everyone's doing the best they can. But as I say in
the colum these devices are so seductive that we are lulled into constant
use, and we lose awareness of the effect they have on our relationships
with the people around us. I think the key is to make sure that they work for
us, and not vice versa. Sounds like you're on a good path...and if you
break the rules sometimes...well, none of us is perfect.
